Mary Street, Gympie.

Gympie's "Streets of Gold"

Gympie's “Streets of Gold” map was named in reference to Mary St and others which were paved with mullock, the rocks which contained gold. Because the streets were paved prior to modern gold extraction methods a lot of gold would have been left in the mullock. Mary St is 1.5km long and is a one-way street running south so there could be millions of dollars worth of gold in mullock just below your feet.
